Shore excursions

Mi kupili dve exkursii po Bermudam.
We bought two shore excursions while at the Bermuda


Pervaja ekskursija bila nirianije s masskoj, trubkoj i lastami na koralovom rife.
The first one was snorkeling at the coral reef


Na katamarane vivoziat na koralovij rif i tri chasa ti niriajesh i plavajesh sredi tropicheskih rib.
Nice catamaran boat took us to the reef and we were diving for about three hours in between tropical fishes


Vsio puteshevstvie zanimajet chut' bol'she chetireh chasov.
Overall the excursion took us a little more than four hours



Bilo ochen' interesno. I bilo ochen' mnogo raznotsvetnih rib. Mnogie iz nih bol'shie i plavajut sovershenno blizko. Ne bojatsia cheloveka.
It was very interesting. There were a lots of wild-colored fishes. Some of them were quite large and were swimming pretty close to us.



V pogone za ribami N. razodrala sebe palets ob ostrij koral a ja umudrilsia probit' sebe ladon' v dvuh mestah.
While chasing fishes N. hurt her finger over a sharp coral. I got two nasty scratches in the palm of my hand.



Nas polechili i zalatali na katamarane.
Our wounds were given some care on the boat and we were fine


Voda - teplaja priteplaja, i ochen' chistaja.
The water is very warm and clear



Korali ochen' krasivije, kak podvonij les. Zhalko chto ja ne mogu fotografirovat' pod vodoj
The corals were very pretty, like enchanted underwater forest. Too bad I could not take underwater pictures.

We sailed on the way back


Eto nash kapitan. Vsego komanda sostoja iz treh chelovek, Vse belie. Devochka razdavala napitki.
That is our captain. The crew consisted of three people. The girl was just serving drinks at the cabin.


Vtoraja ekstursija bila vecherniaja progulka v treugol'nik na lodke so stekliannim dnom.
The second excursion was an evening trip into the triangle on a glass-bottom ship.

That one took about two hours



Vozili na koralovij rif k ostankam korablia kotorij zatonul 100 let nazad
We were taken to the coral reef and were shown a ship-wreck that sunk about one hundred years ago.


Vsego okolo bermudov zatonulo neschislennoe kolichestvo korablej - po-mojemu ja slishal chetire sotni ostankov najdenno
There are a lot of ship-wrecks in around Bermuda. I've heard the number of the wrecks goes towards 400.

The reason is of course the coral reefs


Nas vivezli v treugol'nik, na rif porotm otkrili stekliannoje dno i pod nami sobralos' nesmetnoje kolichestvo rib
After we were taken into the triangle the glass-bottom hatches were opened and a lot of fishes gathered underneath the ship.


Potom ih stali podkarmlivat'. Bila uzhe noch', temno i fotki rib ne vishli.
The feeding was given to the fish. It was dark and photos of the fishes did not come out well.



Zatonuvshij korabl' chto nam pokazivali ves' obros koralami, no zag ego po-prezhnemu torchit iz vodi.
The ship-wreck is all covered by corals, yet it's rare part protrudes above the water.


Okazivajestsia koralam dlia rosta neobhodimo zhelezo. Vblizi zatonuvshih korablej ih rost uskoriaetsia vtroje.
The corals need iron to grow. With iron in water from the ship-wrecks the grows rate accelerates three fold.


Nam govorili chto tam escho vodiatsia os'minogi, no mi ih ne uvideli, ne povezlo
We were told that there were octopuses in there, but we did not see any of them

Na obratnom puti bilo uzhe temno.
It was dark on our way back


Mi s N. nashli Poliarnuju zvezdu. Ona bila ochen' nizko nad gorizontom
We found the Polar star in the skies. It was unusually low over the horizon.

On the first flour of the boat they were serving drinks
